CANCELLED International Observe the Moon Night! In-Person
Due to the cloud coverage for tonight, this event is cancelled. We look forward to planning another night sky event with the Thames Amateur Astronomical Society in the near future. Thank you!
Join us in the rear parking lot of the library as we welcome Dr. Leslie Brown together with the Thames Amateur Astronomical Society of Southeastern CT and the Niantic Chapter of STARS TO STEM! We will celebrate International Observe the Moon Day with a moon talk by Dr. Brown in the lower level meeting room and outdoors telescopes will be provided by the Society for viewing, however, everyone is welcome to bring their own. There will be moon themed activities and crafts for the kids and a moon chair!
Registration is suggested. This event is free and open to all ages.
Dr. Leslie Brown is Associate Professor Emeritus of Physics, Connecticut College.
