Elections in America: How and Why? In-Person
If you're considering attending a lecture at our Library, you probably already know our three branches of government, why we have them, and what they generally do. But how do we pick them? And why do we do it that way? This nonpartisan lecture will answer those questions and more. The lecture can be considered an introduction to American elections, but after the introduction the lecturer is open to probing deeper questions at the audience's request.
Registration is suggested but not required.
Our speaker is Ian Cheney, teacher of history and government at the Waterford High School.
Co-sponsored by the American Association of University Women
and the League of Women Voters!
