We welcome local writer and producer Nick Checker.  Nick will highlight some of his own particular journeys as a writer and the paths taken to finally attain publication and production. His intent is to especially share some of these accomplishments with the audience as a means of encouraging those also seeking paths to publication ... and afterwards to invite them to share their own experiences in the field and to express their own triumphs, hopes, and dreams for publication and production.

In addition he will be doing a dramatic presentation of his previously published short story, Hungry Headstones, a one act play.  Hungry Headstones is best termed "A young man's harrowing odyssey within the walls of a neglected cemetery filled with embittered souls."  Nick will also perform a very brief excerpt from his forthcoming new eBook The Duel. 

Nick's previous literary achievements include four published novels: The Saga of Marathon –  that premiered at the Eugene O'Neil Theater; Run to Elysia, regarding the heroics of the legendary Greek foot courier racing on a mission to save the world’s first democracy in ancient Athens; The Legend of Kwi Coast – a young adult tale of a defiant young dolphin defying the mores of her strangely militant clan; and a pair of fantasy novels - Druids and Scratch
